Jenny Elizabeth Eggers

Jenny Elizabeth Eggers, 68, of Greensboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 19, 1957, in Easton, Maryland, Jenny was the daughter of Olin Kelley Sr. and Hazel “Jester” Kelley. She was a proud member of the North Caroline High School Class of 1975 in Ridgely, Maryland. Following graduation, Jenny attended nursing school and worked on her father's farm. In 1989, Jenny moved to New York, where she held several jobs before returning to Maryland in 2000. Upon her return, she worked as a cook at Homestead Manor until approximately 2006, when medical issues led to her retirement. Jenny found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved fishing, crabbing, and cooking for family and friends. She was especially known for her delicious pretzel salad and broccoli casserole, dishes that became family favorites and will be fondly remembered by those who shared her table. In addition to her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Cobey and Dorothy Todd; and her brothers, Thomas Marine, William Marine, and Denny Marine, son in law; Armando Perez Perez. Jenny leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her daughters, Lisa Perez Perez of Greensboro, Maryland, and Virginia Kelley (Melveena) of Greensboro, Maryland. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Nathan Cooper of Greensboro, Maryland; Julie Perez Perez of Greensboro, Maryland; Romeo Perez Perez of Greensboro, Maryland; Trever Hubbard of Laurel, Delaware; Jenise Natal of Harrington, Delaware; Lucy Perez Perez (Yonatan) of Henderson, Maryland; Mayno Perez Perez (Ashley Salas) of Henderson, Maryland; and Carolina Perez Perez of Virginia. Jenny was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Caren Perez Perez, Daphne Ramos Perez, Dylan Perez Perez, Mavie Perez Salas, and Angel Hernandez Salas, all of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. She is further survived by her siblings: Shirley Wright and her husband of Federalsburg, Maryland; Olin Kelley Jr. and his wife of Denton, Maryland; and Virginia Ann Dodd of Arizona, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, Maryland. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the service at Greensboro Cemetery in Greensboro, Maryland. Jenny's love for her family, her warm heart, and her passion for bringing people together will be remembered always.
