Rowe, 1 son C. Tolbert Rowe and wife Jeannie of Greensboro, 2 daughters Elisa Ecklund and husband Charlie of New Prague, MN and Laura Harris and husband Marty of Denton, 1 brother Carmen Rowe of Gilroy, CA, a loving sister Shirley Gerhardt of Cocoa Beach, FL, and 4 grandchildren Allison, Kelsey, Maddie and Henry EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Mr. Rowe was a 1951 graduate of Waynesboro High School; he went on to attend Mercersburg Academy and then Franklin & Marshall College, graduating in 1956. He served in the US Navy out of college. He began his career with the Union Trust Bank of Baltimore, transferred to Rising Sun National Bank and then moved to the shore working for People's Bank of Maryland for 19 years, retiring as President. He also served as district court commissioner and as a member of the Caroline County Board of Elections for 15 years, receiving a Governor’s Citation for his service. He began Rowe Insurance Agency in 1990 retiring in 1996 when his daughter Laura Harris took over the family business. Mr. Rowe was a member of Easton Wing Civil Air Patrol and also had a commercial pilot’s license. He was a member of St Luke's Methodist Church, Denton, MD and the Greensboro Lions Club. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and trap shooting. VISITATION: will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28th from 6 to 8 pm in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 Sunset Ave, Greensboro, MD 21639 SERVICES: A funeral service held will be on Wednesday, Sept 29th at 10:00 am from the funeral home PLACE OF INTERMENT: will follow the service at 3:00 pm in the Green Hill Cemetery; 953 S.
