Edward Eugene Weaver Jr

Edward "Ed" Eugene Weaver Jr. passed away on January 9th at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton, surrounded by his family. He was 67 years old. Ed was born on January 19, 1957, to the late Edward Weaver Sr. and Laura “Yockel” Weaver. He graduated from Anne Arundel High School with the class of 1976. After high school Ed enlisted in the Navy, serving for four years. On April 21, 1979 he married the love of his life, Alicia "Lisa". They had three sons of their own, fostered many children and adopted their youngest daughter and son. After his discharge with the Navy, Ed became a proud member of the National Guard for twelve years. After his final discharge, he began working at Merchants Terminal where he retired from in 2014. Ed cherished his role as a family man, taking immense pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. His dogs also brought him great joy. Ed enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, learning new skills like riding a motorcycle and playing the banjo. You could find him in the kitchen baking applesauce cake or outside grilling. He studied the bible and spent time during the day in prayer, he was a true believer in the Word of God and his promises. Ed was always willing to share random historical facts and memories of growing up in Italy (he was a military brat).He was always up for trying something new, whether it be a new hobby or weird food combination like jelly, eggs and peanut butter sandwiches. You could always count on Ed to make you feel loved with his contagious smile and warm hugs. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Benjamin Jacob Weaver. He is survived by his wife, Alicia "Lisa" Weaver, and their children: Andy Weaver of Queen Annes, MD; David Weaver (Amanda) of Greensboro, MD; Kimberly Weaver of Queen Annes; and Billy “Buzz” Weaver (Latrice) of Goldsboro, MD. As well as two sisters, Mary Sainer (Jeff), and Terry Zimmer (Ed). His legacy will continue through his grandchildren: Jozilyn Weaver, Seth Weaver, Skylar Weaver, and Leonidas "Leo" Weaver. Additionally, his newest great-grandchild, Elijah Latham, ensures that his memory will endure. He is also remembered by his beloved pet, Winston. Services will be private.
