Noble Henry Goad

Noble Goad, 90, of Ridgely, passed away following a long illness on May 5, 2018 at Caroline Hospice House in Denton. He was born on February 2, 1928 in Hillsville, Virginia to the late Obie and Rose Goad Edwards. Mr. Goad is a United States Army Veteran. He worked at Breyer's Milk Plant in Ridgely until it's closing. He then went to work for the Maryland State Highway Administration for 20 years retiring as a foreman. He was a lifetime member of the Ridgely Volunteer Fire Company and was a member of the American Legion #29. Mr. Goad was an avid hunter. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brother Clayton Goad, sister Sybil Whitson, and twin brothers Bufus and Rufus Goad who passed away in infancy. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nettie Mae Goad, daughters Wanda Foltz and husband Hollen of Clayton, Delaware and Cindy Kaufman of Ridgely; grandsons Jordan Foltz and his wife Lindsey, Aaron Foltz and Justin Kaufman; sisters Nellie Rampmeyer of Trappe, MD and Jean Brown of Easton, MD and brother Kenny Goad of Fredericksburg, VA. A visitation will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM also at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro. Interment will follow at Ridgely Cemetery.
