Martin Franklin Stallings

Martin Franklin Stallings of Hartly, Delaware passed away peacefully on July 24, 2018 at his home. He was 71 years old. Born on September 7th, 1946 in Hawesville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James and Nina Stallings. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and retired from the Dover Police Department after 20 years of service at the rank of Corporal. Martin continued his education by obtaining his masters degree in public administration from Wilmington University and ultimately a Juris Doctorate from Northern Virginia Law School. In addition, he retired from the State of Maryland after 15 years of service. After his second retirement, he volunteered at the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover, Delaware where he was a tour guide. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police #15. He is survived by his wife Nora Rogers Stallings of 48 years, daughter Susan Stallings of Milton, Delaware, stepdaughter Wanda Howell of Ridgely, Maryland, brothers James D., Thomas, Terry and Jerry and sisters Emma Kelley and Jane Elzey as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, Maryland on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior.
