Karen M. Haley

April 3, 1943 - January 13, 2022

Karen ‘Freddie’ Mae Haley ,78, of Ridgely, Md died peacefully on January 13, 2022 at Washington Adventist Hospital Tacoma Park. Karen was born April 3,1943 at home in Brooklyn Park, Md to Charles Milton and Della Mae Caswell. Karen is survived by her spouse of 57 years, Arthur “Jack” John Haley of Ridgely, her children Pamela (Ernest) Prince, Beth (Dave) Rolle, Jeanne (Jeff) Scharf, her grandchildren Stephanie McGuire, Kyle (Dani) Sekora, Caitlyn (Colin) McShane, Ashley Prince, McKenzie (John) Prince, Alexis “Lexi” Rolle, great grand children Haisley Sekora, Braylen and Emberlynn McShane, brother Wayne (Bev) Caswell, sister-in-law Charlotte Caswell, sister-in-law Johanna Brown, brother-in-law Tom (Carolyn) Haley. She is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews and their families. Karen was predeceased by her parents Charles and Della Caswell, daughter Tammy Mae, sister Betty Alma, Brothers Craig and Dwight, and brother-in-law Tom Brown. Karen enjoyed life to its fullest with a never ending thirst for knowledge. Karen camped with friends, family and Girl Scouts. She loved designing and decorating her homes. Karen and Jack travelled cross county for their 50th anniversary were she threw away her first smart phone. Karen was a gracious hostess often entertaining family and friends at her home. She was especially known for her Sunday dinners and Easter celebrations. Karen’s Celebration of Life Ceremony will he held Sunday, January 30, 2022, 1pm at Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home. 106 W Sunset Avenue, Greensboro,Md 21639. Support Karen’s passion for children in need. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude or Shriners Hospitals for Children. “ If you believe in miracles, then everything is a miracle.” Karen Haley.
