Andrew “Scott” Bixler, 42, of Goldsboro, went home to his holy Father in heaven on November 14, 2018. He was born on October 24, 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late George Bixler and Linda Moore Urie. Scott was an avid fisherman and bongo player, who recorded his life through poetry when he wasn’t working as a self-employed painter. Scott was a spiritual man; his personal walk with the Lord gave him wisdom, as he led others. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Shawna Bixler; step-father, Vernon Urie; daughters, Sierra (Patrick) Davey and Savannah (Timothy) Jordan; son, George Bixler; brother, David (Michelle) Bixler; sister, Jennifer (Harless) Payne; one grandson, Timothy Jordan Jr, and another grandchild on the way. He was a passionate husband and father who reminded his family to love and serve those who needed it most. A visitation will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at Greensboro Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
