Alice Ann Dixon

November 5, 1937 - June 8, 2018

Alice A. Dixon, 80, of Goldsboro, went home to be with her Lord on June 8, 2018. She was born November 5, 1937 to the late William C. Sharpnack, Sr. and Ellen M. Edwards Sharpnack. She graduated from Lake Forest High School. She retired from Playtex after 25 years. She was an active member of Church of Christ in Christian Union in Henderson, Maryland. She enjoyed doing puzzles, cooking and going to gospel concerts. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul E. Dixon, Sr. and her son Paul E. Dixon, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Mary Cannon of North East, Maryland and Patty Pote and husband John of Goldsboro, grandchildren Curtis Satterfield, Stephen Willey, Andrew, Michael and Melissa Pote; brothers and sisters Laura Belle DIxon, Frank Sharpnack, Mary Ellen Jackson and William C. Sharpnack, Jr. as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that contributions be made to Delaware Hospice at 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
