William Franklin King, Jr.

William Franklin King, Jr. "Billy" departed his life on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at The University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD He was 58 years old. He was born Oct. 1, 1950 in Centreville, to the late William Franklin King, Jr., and Eloise Griffin Jackson. Mr. King was educated in Queen Anne's County Public School System. He served in the Army in Vietnam, where he was honorably discharged. He worked for several years for Asphalt Services. He was also employed by George and Lynch prior to his illness. Billy was a member of the Red Line Cruisers, Old Rollers Social Club, American Legion Post #21 and Bells Chapel A.M.E. Church. He loved to ride his motorcycle with his friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Jean Wilmer; a brother Larry Griffin, his step-father Burton Jackson, and his ex-wife Doreen King. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Beverly of Ridgely; his son, William "Jerome" King (Gail) of Virginia; his daughter, Shante' King of Ridgely; 3 step-daughters; Takiesha Baynard and Moniesha Baynard both of Ridgely, Latiesha Ollison (Shawn) of Chesapeake, VA; 5 sisters, Barbara Whittington (Bernard) of Centreville, Maryanne Dobson (Elmer) of Stevensville, Penelope Adams (Gregory) of Ridgely, Anna Jackson of Centreville, and Jennifer Jones (Richard) of North Carolina; 2 brothers, Arthur Griffin and Charles King (Judy) both of Centreville, brother-in-law Barry Baynard and sister-in-law Patricia Jones both of Seaford, DE.; 4 grandchildren, Janel, Devin, Amira and Zakia. 10 Step-grandchildren Ar'Kemah, Tynez, Lexus, Donnelle, Deshaun, De'Shiya, Christian, David, Michael and Jordan; 2 godchildren Andreus Thomas and Danaisha Murray; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
