Dixon and Helen Lynch Dixon Spouse: Eva(Thawley)Dixon ) Predeceased: Mr. Dixon was pre-deceased by two brothers; William “Sonny” Dixon and John “Bay” Dixon SURVIVORS He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eva Thawley Dixon of Greensboro, MD, Mr. Dixon is survived by his daughters Mary Lou Murphy (and husband Guy) , Joy Breeding (and husband Alan) , and Jeanne Meyers (and husband Brett) , Bicky Warrington (and husband Danny. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Allan, Kristy, Megan, Timmy, Brooke, and Molly, and two great-grandchildren Marshall and Zoa; and his faithful Labrador Retriever, Chester. EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Mr. Dixon was born in Annapolis, MD and raised in Woodland Beach. He moved to the Ridgely area with his family when he was a teenager. He quickly developed a group of fast friends, and began racing midget racers at the local tracks. It was this pass time that earned him the nickname "Frosty" in his later years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. In 1960, he established his sand and gravel business. He was the first person in Caroline county to receive a surface mining license. He loved spending time on his farm working, fishing, rabbit hunting, and boating on the Choptank. He also enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and friends. VISITATION: Friday October 22, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday October 23, 2010 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave, Greensboro MD.
