Brandon Maurice Warner

Brandon was born May 10, 1975, to Linda Warner Dodd and Marvin Benson at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton, MD. Brandon passed away quietly at home on Sunday, June 26, 2016. He had a courageous battle with cancer. In addition to his daughter, Nyasia Warner, loving known as "Sissy", Brandon was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents: Gloria Brown and Alvin Holmes; and Paternal Grandparents: Zetta M. Benson and Auther D. Benson. Brandon attended Caroline County Public Schools and graduated from North Caroline High School in 1993. After graduation, Brandon attended Chesapeake Community College in Queenstown, MD, for a year. Brandon was employed at Black and Decker in Easton, MD. Later, he worked for Unisite, Denton, MD and remained there until he became ill. Because of Brandon's fondness of giving others' nicknames, he was given the nick name B-MINUS. He was affectionately and fondly known by this nickname in his circle of friends. Brandon's smile lit up a room, especially when anyone mentioned the words "DALLAS COWBOYS". Everyone knew that B-MINUS was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, in and out of season. B-MINUS even had his man cave decorated with a Dallas Cowboy's theme. Football season would find him watching and rooting for his favorite team. He especially loved Tony Romo and nothing could ever be said negative about Jerry Jones. Brandon took pride in fatherhood. And although he was fighting a battle of his own, he took the role of being a father very seriously. He was admired by his family and friends for the daily and constant care he gave to his children. Nothing came before his kids, not even his own health. As a youngster, Brandon was very dedicated to Sunday school at Trinity A.M.E. Church, Ridgely, MD. He and his cousins, Rennell and Carvell, loved to attend and were especially fond of their teachers: Mr. William Flamer, the late Mrs. Josephine Flamer and the late Mr. Albert Wilson. That was the foundation for his Christian life. Brandon leaves to cherish his memories a loving and dedicated mother Linda Warner Dodd; father Marvin Maurice Benson; brothers: Marvin G. Benson,·Jr. and Brian Bedford; loving daughter Brianna Green; loving son Brandon Warner, Jr.; stepfather Franklin Dodd; grandfather William Brown; aunts: Alvina Holmes, Annette Warner Fountain and Laura Smith; uncles: Larry Warner and Deshaun Taylor; step siblings: Sabrina Dodd, Franklin Dodd, Jr., Shauntae Dodd, Shelly Lanman and Michael Lanman; God parents: Gale Barden, Patsy Pearson, Robin Murray and Brian Rich; and a special best friend/brother: Brian Benfer. Brandon also leaves to cherish his memory his fiancé, Kim Williams, and her children that he loved as his own: Candace, Dominque, Sadie and Isaiah. He also especially loved Kim's mother, who he fondly called Nana. Brandon has many special cousins, relatives, extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11 am. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10 am to 11 am. At Brandon’s request, the family asks that you wear your favorite football teams’ jersey (if you would like to).
